The host agreement

The same agreement every host reads and signs, from her host dashboard, before her group goes live.

Thank you for opening your home, or a room at your church, to a few women once a month. This agreement puts into plain words what we ask of every host and what you can count on from us. Please read it slowly and prayerfully. When you're ready, type your full name and check the box below.

What I commit to as a host

I will keep my group's list up to date

  • Every woman at my table is a member, or has a scholarship request in.
  • I will keep my roster true to the women who actually belong to my group, adding and removing women as they come and go.
  • When a member's dues lapse, I will not ignore it. I will either mark "She's no longer in our group" or give her one 30-day grace, and I will point any woman with financial need to a private scholarship rather than letting her stay on without one.
  • I will not share my own companion PDF or sign-in, and I will encourage my members not to share theirs.

I will be a member myself

I will keep my own membership current. I understand that my group is listed only while my dues are paid.

I will lead in the spirit of this ministry

  • I will welcome every woman warmly, whatever church she calls home.
  • I will make room for every voice, and I will remind my group of our one rule: never apologize for not finishing.
  • I will reach out with kindness, never guilt, to women who slip away.
  • I will choose my group's companion prayerfully. If I move the group to a new companion partway through a year, I will tell my members that each can get it right away for $15, which comes off her next renewal, or receive it when she renews.
  • When more than 10 women want a seat, I will raise up a second host, so one group becomes two.

I will respect our doctrine

This ministry is openly Apostolic Pentecostal. We believe in one God, fully revealed in Jesus Christ, and in the new birth of Acts 2:38. I will:

  • lead with the books and companion the ministry provides, and not substitute other teaching materials in our meetings;
  • speak about faith freely and graciously, without arguing or belittling anyone's church;
  • bring doctrinal concerns about a book or the companion to Brittany privately, not to the group.

I will protect my members' privacy

  • I will use members' email addresses and phone numbers only for our group, and never share them, sell them, or add them to other lists.
  • A phone number given to me with a request to join is for my call to her and nothing else.
  • I will keep confidential what is shared at our table, and I will never reveal who is on a scholarship.

I will keep our gatherings safe

  • I will meet in a place that is safe and welcoming, and share the address only with members and women I have invited.
  • I will tell guests ahead of time about anything they should know, such as pets or stairs.
  • If a member shares something that suggests she or someone else is in danger, I will encourage her to seek help from her pastor or the proper authorities, and contact emergency services myself if someone is in immediate danger.
  • I understand that I am a host and a friend, not a counselor, and I will point women to their pastor or professional help when they need more than our group can give.

I will complete my preparation

  • I will complete the host training lesson before my group goes live.

What you can count on from us

  • A new companion each year, a guide to nine books, each book screened against Apostolic doctrine, with an honest content note.
  • Every companion we publish, for you to choose from for your group, and the member site.
  • Your jump-start kit: invitations, your join code and link, a text message, a flyer, and an info-night kit.
  • Prompt answers to your questions, and prayer for you and your group.
  • Private, careful handling of every scholarship request.

Stepping down

If you need to stop hosting, please let us know as early as you can, so we can help your members find another group or raise up a new host from among them. There is no penalty for stepping down.
